First off, if you’re debating if you can blend this Spinach Raspberry Smoothie, I say: Just do it! It doesn’t have to be perfect, you don’t have to get fancy and make it all pretty like I did.
Something is better than nothing! Oftentimes we get caught up in thinking we have to be able to nail a recipe for it to be a success. Yet the best way I’ve learned to cook and blend healthy recipes is when I mess up and have to adjust on my own. As uncomfortable as this may be, it’s how you learn and grow. I know you can blend this and I know you’ll enjoy it too (especially with how it makes you feel!).
Should I Use Fresh Fruit or Frozen Fruit?
As gorgeous as fresh fruit looks and tastes (which is why we use it for our photos!), it’s easier and usually more affordable to use frozen fruit in smoothies. Translation: frozen fruit is a winner!
Frozen fruit also chills down the smoothie naturally without any ice, which can be harsh on your blender blade. I suggest you using frozen raspberries and peaches… and fresh spinach and bananas (which make it creamier).
Is it OK to mix spinach with fruit?
I don’t recommend having a fruit smoothie without spinach or kale at this point in my wellness journey. The health benefits are too great to miss out on! If you’re used to just using fruit in your smoothies, why not try adding 1 handful of fresh baby spinach? You wont even taste it and it will actually help stabilize your blood sugar levels.

Are fruit and spinach smoothies healthy?
One of the easiest ways to make a smoothie healthier is by adding spinach (and you won’t even taste it!). Spinach is an excellent source of vitamin A, vitamin k, vitamin C, calcium, iron and folic acid. Adding spinach to your smoothie can boost your vitamin intake and increase fiber, which will help slow down the absorption of fruit sugars into your blood stream and avoid a sugar rush.
Does spinach have a taste in smoothies?
The first time I added spinach to my blender, I cringed and freaked out. Yet as soon as I sipped that first green smoothie, it was love at first sip because you cannot taste the spinach! It’s truly a magical health hack because you can add in beneficial leafy greens without having to taste them!
